The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has predicted that global cereal production will reach a record level this year. At the same time, she warned of worsening food insecurity, due to conflict and drought.

In its monthly report, FAO revealed that global food prices remained stable on a monthly basis in June, but are 2.1 percent lower compared to the corresponding month of 2023, and by 25 percent compared to the peak recorded in March 2022.

The increase in the prices of vegetable oils, sugar, and dairy products compensated for the decline in grain prices during the past month.
